Louise joined the team at the Sleep/Wake Research Centre in 2023 as a Massey University honours student and continues her research journey as part of Massey's Doctorate of Clinical Psychology programme. For her doctorate thesis she is investigating autism and sleep by researching alongside autistic adolescents with complex needs and their whānau. Louise is using a range of methods to capture the voice and lived experience of those often excluded from research. This builds upon her honours research that utilised Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal data to examine the differences in sleep of neurodivergent and neurotypical children, stratified into Māori and non-Māori groups.
