Louise joined the team at the Sleep/Wake Research Centre in 2023 as a Massey University honours student and continues her research journey as part of Massey's Doctorate of Clinical Psychology programme. For her doctoral thesis, she is investigating autism and sleep by researching alongside autistic adolescents with complex needs and their whānau. Louise is using a range of methods to capture the voice and lived experience of those often excluded from research. This builds upon her honours research, which utilised Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal data to examine differences in sleep between neurodivergent and neurotypical children, stratified by Māori and non-Māori groups.
